About Continuity

We built Continuity because families shouldn't have to hire someone before they can understand the problem.

Planning for lifelong support can involve finances, public benefits, housing, caregiving, legal planning, healthcare and estate planning.

Families deserve a way to see the whole picture before deciding what professional help they may need.

Why is Continuity free?

Continuity's core planning tools are free because we want families to be able to understand their situation before they have to buy anything.

  • You do not have to provide an email address to calculate a plan.
  • You do not have to pay to see your results.
  • You do not have to contact a professional to see your risks or recommendations.

You can explore your assumptions, ask questions and understand your plan first.

How does Continuity make money?

Some families will eventually need professional help.

Attorneys and, eventually, other qualified professionals may pay to sponsor Continuity, support educational resources, or make their services available to families who choose to seek professional help.

Sponsorship should always be clearly identified.

Sponsors cannot pay to change your calculations, assumptions, identified risks or recommendations.

A family should never have to contact a sponsor to access the underlying Continuity guidance.

What happens to my information?

Your plan belongs to you.

Continuity should not require contact information simply to calculate or explore a plan.

If a feature requires information to be saved, stored or shared, Continuity should explain that before you choose to use the feature.

If you choose to contact a professional through Continuity, we will clearly explain what information will be shared before anything is sent.

How do recommendations work?

Continuity's recommendations are based on the information in your plan and the planning rules underlying the product.

Paid sponsorship must not affect which risks Continuity identifies or what actions it recommends.

When Continuity does not know something, it says so.

When something requires a professional determination, Continuity says that too.

What Continuity is — and isn't

Continuity is a planning and educational tool.

It can help families understand assumptions, model scenarios, identify areas that deserve attention and prepare better questions.

It does not replace individualized legal, financial, tax, medical or benefits advice.

Professional help should be recommended when professional judgment is actually required, not simply because a sponsor is available.
